Where do I work?
I work in the Department of
Physics & Astronomy at the Johns
Hopkins University. I am the Instrument Scientist for the recently
decommissioned Far
Ultraviolet Spectroscopic Explorer
(FUSE), which was
launched
into orbit on a Delta 2 ELV on June 24, 1999 and shut down on October 18, 2007.
I am also working on the Cosmic Origins Spectrograph
(COS), an instrument for the
Hubble Space Telescope which will
be installed during the next
Hubble servicing mission.
My wife works across the street at the
Space Telescope Science
Institute.
Where are my useful FUSE IDL routines?

FUSE data.
What am I working on?
Here are some
technical papers
describing the performance of FUSE.

My travel schedule is (subject to change without notice):
| When? | Where? | Why?
|
|---|
| January 7- 11, 2008 | Austin | AAS Meeting

What do I do for fun?
- I eat breakfast cereal, and save the boxes. I have a
page with some links to cereal pages, but many of
them are now out of date.
- I'm interested in genealogy, particularly that of the Sahnow family.
