Sunspots are BIG!
Below is a picture of the sun taken by SOHO on September 23, 2000.
Look carefully at the biggest clump of sunspots, near the middle of the
disk of the sun.
This next picture shows a close-up of that big group of sunspots.
The picture
also shows the size of the Earth as if it were right next to the sunspots.
The littlest sunspot you can easily see in your Flip Book is as
big as the whole Earth!
