In order to provide a preliminary data quality assessment and facilitate a fast turn around of failed observations, the FUSE project has established the "Science Data Oversight Group" (SDOG). As observations are performed, the members of this group perform a review the basic characteristics of each data set and document their findings on a "Science Data Assessment Form" (SDAF). For the GI programs, an ASCII versin of this form will be e-mailed to the program PI at the time that the data are archived. Below, we give an example of a completed SDAF form, together with some annotations.
